Lost sat alone. He was sitting at the edge of a fountain in the middle of the plaza, on the old, oaken seat that had seen at least a dozen years, but had somehow avoided any deep scratches or graffiti scrawled over the long and narrow wooden planks that formed it. The metal frame was as black as the night it was painted, and dust was the only thing that stained its pitch steel. It was in front of a fountain hemmed by dim red and faded black brick, with a water-feature that seemed to laugh as it spilled over with spurts of fresh, clear and unclean water.
